Bee’s Bees Apiary

Hey there!

Bee’s Bees is a local family-owned apiary, and we are focused on ethical beekeeping, local honey, and teaching the next generation to honor creation while staying rooted in stewardship, simplicity, and a love for the land.

We are passionate about saving the bee population and spreading awareness of the honey bee crisis. Our name comes from a nickname given by our beloved grandfather. He always said that our co-owner + beekeeper, Jess, was a busy little bee, and as she got older, her fascination with bees grew.

In 2024, Jamin surprised our family with our very first hive and we were in love.. On May 16, 2025, our PawPaw passed away but before that, our cousin, Dena told us that we couldn’t pass up on the name of “Bee’s Bees.” We told PawPaw about the name and laughingly, he agreed. Saying that it was “perfect.” Bee’s Bees is our family’s own special way of keeping the memory of Morris and Mildred Louviere alive.

the story behind our name

The name of our honey holds a special place in our hearts, rooted deeply in family memories. Our family’s patriarch, Pawpaw, lovingly called Jessica, our co-owner, “Bee” because of her constant busyness, and over time, that nickname became her known name among family and close friends.

Mawmaw and Pawpaw loved their grandchildren more than anything else. They preferred to spend their spare time traveling with their grandchildren, and some of the sweetest memories are the slow summers in the motorhome, seeing new places, waking up to biscuits and gravy, and bird watching.

With both of them now gone, naming our apiary Bee’s Bees is our heartfelt tribute to keep the memory of Morris and Mildred Louviere alive through the sweet legacy of honey production and the busy little bees that symbolize their adventures together..

Every jar of Bee’s Bees honey carries a bit of their story. It’s not just about bees – it’s about family, memory, and living slowly + intentionally with a full heart.
